Daddy, I want to fly like an astronaut

Doesn't this sound so familiar? When we were young, we were filled with ambitions of all sorts. To be in a teaching profession, to be a full-time sports player, to be a world-known musician, to be an upright lawyer as well as an ethical doctor. How close can this ambitions of ours be linked to our future?

Since young, I've had my fair share of lofty aspirations as well. A veterinarian, a dolphin trainer, a lawyer, a doctor, a researcher, a professor and so on. Whatever you can think of, I bet I have considered it as a career before (leaving aside garbage collection, prostitution and jobs of the same nature). Because we were young once, we were given an opportunity to dream.

Very often, our ambitions faces retorts from the elders, they are being sneered at and merely quoted as children's dreams. Then, parents will start drawing up a plan for kids to follow stating, "this is for your own good". Former dreams are then dashed. So, in reality, a series of factors are always affecting what you known to be an ambition. Meeting it or not will only depend on your willpower, your determination as well as your hardwork. I am not sure how far I will go to pursue my dreams but as long as I am capable of, I will never give up.

Hail the storms

A long hiatus indeed. I've almost forgotten the feeling of coming to blogger and doing the ritual updates.

First of all. A Happy New Year to fellow readers (if there are any in the first place). Wishing everyone a great 2007 ahead, getting good results, landing in great jobs and securing a place at the Universities. A new year means brand new resolutions, have you made yours yet?

An eventful 2006 have passed and what comes next is another year of struggles and adaptations to new life. Barely 2 months more to a brand new environment at Tasmania. What awaits is uncertainty and a brand new lifestyle. Can't exactly put across how I'm feeling right now, not exactly anticipation neither is it reluctance. A part of me wants leave everything behind and a part of me feels the sore thinkin about it but of course the remaining part of me is just idling away the time. Life has certainly reached its crossroads and I'm moving on across the ocean to a foreign place, without any idea what life has in store for me.

Fellow friends and comrades!! Kindly arrange for meet-ups before I leave so that I can take some snapshots with you guys! :D

Thailand trip on the 11th February.
Flight towards Tasmania on the 17th February.
