Superstition
Word of the day: eschew
Meaning: to avoid; shun
Small note: Spent a whole day at Seow Yan's house gaming with shoot. It has been a long time since I touched a Playstation. We felt as if we had a deprived childhood and getting all excited over every round won. Afterwhich, dinner at Jackson's included stingray, char kway teow and oyster omelette, haha, that's life! Haven't been playing tennis for ages, I itch for a game before school reopens.
There are many unfounded beliefs as well as superstitions in the Chinese tradition, some of which leaves me chuckling to myself and some...simply unbelievable. It came to my knowledge that many chose to believe it willingly perhaps because of coincidence that happened before. I do believe some of them as well.
I vaguely remembered someone telling me something about the moon. The person quoted that if you point at the moon with any other fingers other than your thumb, the moon will throw a piece of itself at you. HAHAHAHA! How nice to own a piece of moon right? Perhaps I can start making special mooncakes with that piece of moon and earn big bucks (because I am really lacking of money now). Unbelievable. That thing left me laughing for ages and I was thinking I would probably be hit by that piece of moon and drop dead on the floor.
Anyway I am off to snooze because I have an extremely runny nose now.
Please remember not to take photo shot of any sleeping person because you will most probably capture his/her soul. Haha
